Rom 13 : 9 Love Your Neighbour as Yourself"

The Ladies Fellowship and Bazaar Team !
When we planned the celebrations we not only wanted to celebrate God's goodness to us but our heartfelt intention was to also use the occassion to be a blessing to others. The Charity " Buffet" Bazaar was birthed! The amazing thing was that people who contributed items to the Bazaar contributed really good stuff. New Plate and Dinner ware, table top fans, shoes and toys!

At this Bazaar for 2 ringgit and a plastic bag our friends from Habitat, Breakthrough and the Rural churches could help themselves to any item in the room their bags could carry! They really had a great time as you can see !

The crowds gathered early. Then there was a mad rush ! Look at the GOOD stuff on " sale " !!

The whole place was cleared of all clothing, shoes, toys and goods in an hour and a half flat !

Many asked when we were have another sale !!! As for us , we were just glad to see so many people enjoying themselves and being blessed !

Count Down

It's nearly a week to go and we have been busy preparing for the BIG ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS. It seems like only last year when we were planning and thinkng about how to bring our " family " and different congregations together to celebrate 30 years of His goodness here in this land of Sarawak .

To kick off the preparations Pastor Jerry had the church come together for a Gotong Royong and clean up of our premises !

No one was too big, too small, or too inexperienced ! Everyone gladly gave a helping hand!

REHEARSALS began in earnest for different events and gatherings . A time of working together with different people and congregations. Everyone MADE time to come! Hallelujah !

GNF, Biatah Congregation at Batu Kawa

Today we visited Brother Ridom and our sister church at Batu Kawa . We had an amazing time of worship and fellowship . The church began with 20 members and now are expanding such that when we went in, there were only enough chairs for the early birds and those who came late made themselves comfortable on the floor !

This is the Biatah language congregation. Most of their members originate from Simuti and have decided to create a city church to facilitate those dwelling in the city of Kuching . Their worship team comprises of ex-youth from Simuti who are now in their late 20's and 30's. And what a team this is... they have some mad skills for the stringed instruments and they sing well but what stuck me the most was how the entire congregation really opened up their hearts to worship. It was'nt the song leader or the songs.. but the entire people lifting up their hearts and voices to praise and worship the Lord. Their opening song was in Biatah and I don't know how, but I was worshipping along lost in the oblivion of the words which sounded different and yet so meaningful that it moved me to tears.

A simple heart's desire, a simple faith, a simple longing to worship Him . It was good to be reminded that our Lord dosent ask for the frills... He just desires a heart of worship.
